Gujarati cuisine originates from the state of Gujarat which is situated along the western coastline of India. Widely referred to as the “Jewel of Western India”, Gujarati cuisine is one of the oldest culinary treasures of India. Although they are situated near the coastline and with access to wholesome seafood, Gujaratis, as the people of Gujarat are known, remain primarily vegetarian.

Gujarati cuisine offers a unique blend of flavours where sweet notes are a distinctive characteristic of most of their dishes. They use various spices to prepare their dishes and the end product is a truly exotic dining experience that cannot be found anywhere else in India.
